Membership

The Alaska Psychiatric Association (AkPA) is a district branch of the American Psychiatric Association,a medical specialty society representing more than 35,000 physician leaders in mental health. AkPA's mission is to continuously improve the ability of its members to provide quality psychiatric services to individuals and families in need. The Association also strives to promote the welfare of all those with mental illness and to foster the medically based principles of psychiatry.


By becoming a member of AkPA, you extend the benefit of your APA membership to include valuable local networking, advocacy and educational offerings, as well as information and resources specific to the Alaska psychiatric community via our website.


Because of members like you, our District Branch (71, in APA Area 7) has experienced growth and progress, and is poised to continue to build on that success to make our organization the best it's ever been.
